Very little. AFAIK, the demonstrations have mostly numbered in the dozens in about a dozen or so cities around the country. I'm not aware of anything large. The Cambridge Massachusetts city council recently passed a resolution against the blockade, https://bostondsa.org/2026/05/08/opinion-cambridge-can-and-must-take-action-to-oppose-the-cuba-blockade-on-may-11/ IMO, our diminutive left in the US is overwhelmed with ICE, Venezuela, Iran, destruction of the domestic safety net as layoffs accelerate across the US. Trump is also building a gulag of prison-warehouses, i.e. warehouses that are retrofit to warehouse people. Trump has declared that these prisons are for immigrants, criminals, and antifa. The latter is a very wide net to catch any leftist who gets labeled "antifa." To make matters worse, the US Democratic Party is effectively in the leadership of the anti-Trump left. As an imperialist party, anti-imperialism doesn't make the cut of things that the Democratic Party cares about. Democratic-Party president Joe Biden chose not to restore the normalization of relations with Cuba that Obama put into place and Trump ended during his first term. Opposition to the Iran war doesn't interest the Democratic Party, either. Kudos to the Boston DSA for the most notable action to defend Cuba to date. But nationally, DSA chapters are mostly too busy with electoral and legislative work to build a mass, independent movement against US fascism or imperialism. We have seen in the pro-Palestine movement how the US left without the Democratic Party isolates itself from the mass of the US people.
