In quicken I am doing the automatic patch update which is just an http
transfer (I think). At about 15% of 222K the TR and SD lights go out for
about 10-30 sec. then the download resumes until 39% (which it has never
made it past). The download then fails after about 90 sec. I have gone
thru the tcpdump file and removed everything that I felt was unrelated. My
linux machine is running DNS so I think that is what some of the stuff was,
the other stuff was email. But I just did a dump for 3 minutes of ppp0 and
there was none of that amry and mil stuff in it, in fact there was nothing
in that dump. I have attached another dump named quicken.tcpdump1 which I
killed named for so you only get IP addresses and the output of ifconfig.
Why in the second dump does the far end send packets to my windows machine
(192.168.1.101), shouldn't that be behind the ipmasq?

Anyway thanks bunches for looking at this stuff, and I really like your
trinity os doc, it rocks!

Ok, I looked at your TCPDUMP file but I'm not sure what I'm
looking for. What where you doing in Quicken, how far did
it get and when did it die?

Also.. it looks like you were doing other things on your
machine when you did this TCPDUMP file. True?

One more thing, what is the MTU of your connetion to the
Internet? Sent me the output from "/sbin/ifconfig"
