Cool, I am running Quicken Deluxe 98 patch R4 (to find this hold down ctrl
and click on help). In a nutshell I am updating the Quicken and Quickbooks
programs over the Internet. In Quicken 98 I was running with the R3 patch
which I downloaded about 6 months ago with a standard ppp connection. Then
about a month ago intuit released the R4 patch. I download stock
information a couple of times a week and when I do this quicken
automatically checks to see if there is a new patch, which there was that I
was unable to get. It's the same thing in Quickbooks, I am check for
program updates and a tax table update via the Internet
1. Click on Online and then on Update Quicken 98 (even if you are not
running 98 there still should be an update online button, I think they
introduced it in quicken 5).
2. Then click on update now, it should go out to quickens site to find the
most current patch to your version of quicken and compare it to what you
have (have you ever done this before). If there is a more recent patch it
will download it and ask to install it for you.
What version and patch revision of quicken are you using?
Honestly, Quicken is the only thing keeping me on a Windows platform.

Hmmm... without being there and testing it myself, it really isn't
an obvious thing. Its either a configuration problem or IP MASQ
isn't compatible with Quicken.
One last thing.. what EXACTLY are you doing in Quicken? I run
Quicken too and I can see if I can observe the same problem at
my house.
