You do not explain whether you are trying to reach external addresess by
IP number or URL.

If it is the URL what fails, one possible reason is than you have not
configured a domain name server IP number in the windows machines (your
ISP domain name server IP number); Win95 needs to know it.

By the way, I am trying to use the LINUX box as a "local name server",
so that Win95 does not search in the "outside world" domains included in
the /etc/hosts file.
