We had a Solectek wireless bridge. It was a stand-alone rack mounted PC
running some proprietary software. It connected two buildings that were
around 700ft apart using a roof mounted antenna.

That particular model was quite a nuisance in that it kept crashing and
needed rebooting, but that may have been just a lemon. When it worked, it
was around 2mbit give or take. Looking at their page it appears that they
have more powerful setups now. Though I am kinda curious what kind of NIC
was in their proprietary box. But I'm nowhere near that equipment to be able
to satisfy my curiosity.
