Check. But.. just as a clarification.. WINS is required if you have
browsing issues or if you have machines behind multiple routed segments.

No.. if you are seeing all the machines on the Samba server but NOT the
other machines on the network (in Network Neighborhood), this is a browsing
issue. Since all the machines are on the same segment, something is funky
since it should work ok. Are you sure the other machines are apart of
a different "workgroup" than the SMB server?

If you need to communicate to machines with Internet addresses from machines
that are privately addressed, yes, you will need MASQ. But.. if the Internet
machine is LOCAL to you and NOT on the Internet remotely, you could get
away with it.
