If you invoke sendmail to send the mail, ie echo "your fax went through" |
/usr/lib/sendmail [EMAIL PROTECTED], then the actions it takes is based
on what you put in sendmail.cf. The easiest thing to to would be to
specify the smart host as being the exchange server. Incoming mail will
not be affected.
BTW, check out the SMAP daemon from the FWTK
(ftp://ftp.tislabs.com/pub/firewalls/toolkit/). It will forward email
across the firewall in a much safer way than forwarding the port.
