Hello all.
I was told to try to use the loose udp patch in order to be able to play
games over the internet (Dune2000 in my case), if everything else fails.
Well, everything else is failing: I look at the incoming packets, hit my
firewall at port 1234. I haev redirected this port to the computer running
the game, to the same port (using ipportfw). This seemed to be working:
there was a huge traffic through the firewall, over 15-20 UPD packets in
the second, with really small sizes (16 to 40), everything going to port
1234, and there was a big outgoing traffic, coming from the masked box, to
port 1234 of the remote IP, but it has not worked at all, game kept
timeouting.
Well, anyways, I am not sure how to enable loose udp. I have kernel 2.3.2
right now, however I could not find any #defines to enable the loose udp in
the kernel sources, nor is a patch existent. Is it enabled by default? And
if no, how can I enale it?
TmL
