I have been living with this problem for some time. Email attachments and
outgoing ftp'd files are corrupted when sent from a Win98 machine. Win95
machines are ok.
I came across an old message in the archive stated that this was a Win98
tcpip problem with the recommendation that setting PMTUBlackHoleDetect and
MaxMTU in the registry would correct it. I have tried this but with no
success. Either the fix was incomplete or something has been broken by some
other Win98 upgrade.
I am running RedHat 5.1 with kernel 2.0.36-3 and nearly al the masq modules
loaded. Everything works great under Win95.
Any information will be greatly appreciated.
