/* HINT: Search archives @ http://www.indyramp.com/masq/ before posting! */ Hi, I'm configuring the kernel to do ip maquerade with my LAN, like ipmasq HOWTO 1-77says, but my distribution of Linux (which is RED HAT 6.0 with kernel 2.2.5) don't have the following options: * IP: always defragment (required for masquerading) (CONFIG_IP_ALWAYS_DEFRAG) [Y/n/?] - YES: This feature is REQUIRED to get asked about enabling the IP Masquerade and/or Transparent Proxying features. This feature also optimizes IP MASQ connections. * IP: Drop source routed frames (CONFIG_IP_NOSR) [Y/n/?] - YES: HIGHLY recommended for basic network security Further, the following option * Routing messages (CONFIG_RTNETLINK) [Y/n/?] - NO: This option does not have anything to do with packet firewall logging is allway select (say YES), and I can't unselect. Is this a problem to do ip masquerade? If it is, how can I do to compile de kernel with that options? Thanks in advanced. _______________________________________________ Masq maillist - [EMAIL PROTECTED] Admin requests can be handled at http://www.indyramp.com/masq-list/ or email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] PLEASE read the HOWTO and search the archives before posting.
