You might want to check out relaying that information via Samba.

Subject: [Masq] [Masq] UDP Broadcast Forwarding?
Importance: Low

/* HINT: Search archives @ http://www.indyramp.com/masq/ before posting! */

I've made a valiant attempt at locating this information myself, but to no
avail....

I'm trying to relay certain broadcasts across my Linux router (2.2.12), from
one network to another. Specifically, I'm trying to forward UDP ports
135/137/139 -- NetBIOS packets in other words. I'm trying to get the
workstations on one side of the router to see and belong to the NT domain on
the other side of the router.

Anybody have any ideas how to go about doing this? I've looked at a few
different UDP redirectors, but they all seem to want to relay to/from
particular hosts, and I want the whole network space to go through.

Security is not an issue. This is a 3-week problem, and it's internal
(from a lab network to a production network). Transparent proxy? Redir?
IPAutoFW? what really works?

Is this any different from forwarding BOOTP/DHCP requests? What mechanism
is available in Linux to do this?

Any help is greatly appreciated. I'm under the gun here -- my boss wants
to replace the Linux router with a 3Com router that has built-in "UDP
helpers" to forward broadcasts like NetBIOS and Bootp requests across the
interfaces.
