didnt I post this before?

http://www.theatlantic.com/magazine/archive/2016/09/the-47-billion-network-thats-already-obsolete/492764/

the Atlantic says that the narrative about 9/11 is wrong - they say
that the actual problem was that the FD repeaters failed

WRONG

It kinda sad when a magazine like the Atlantic tries to clean up a
historical inaccuracy by spewing more historical inaccuracies

the FD repeater on 9/11 did not fail - the chief in the lobby just
couldnt get the radio/telephone handset in the lobby to work

is this a distinction without a difference? - not at all - the
repeater (154.43R) would have worked just fine if anyone in the lobby
had tried to use a portable radio on the repeater - but they were just
not radio savvy enough to try that

also - why does it say that 9/11 was 4 years ago in the title? do they
mean 15 years ago? does someone think that 9/11 is 9/2011?
