Potter Valley vegetation fire - response was - Potter Valley FD + Cal Fire - Cal Fire sent 1 Battalion Chief + 4 engines + 1 air attack (air boss) + 2 air tankers + 1 helo + 1 hand crew
the local fire chief had gotten a couple of phone calls before the pageout of smoke from the local compost pit - fire tower confirmed smoke from compost pit with loader working on it - aircraft was cancelled (sorta) 1919 - CalFire cancelling their engines now USFS might have sent rigs also - but not sure one order was - cancel tankers if they have not launched yet - I am not sure how that works - I assume that once they get loaded with mud they have to fly and dump it somewhere Command was on CalFire Command 8 - maybe - (that would be a repeaterized channel - all the rest are simplex channels with no base stations) air tactics was 151.2875 tone 1 victor was 127.325 air to ground was 159.3675 ground tac was calfire tac 2 [I need to save this tape - it is a text book CalFire response for northern California AFAIK) I think that Potter Valley FD would be dispatched on the County Fire Dispatch channel and Cal Fire units would be dispatched on the Cal Fire Dispatch channel - probably toned at the same time (thats what it sounded like) -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "massfire" group.
