Is it really necessary to have all this hubabaloo over something that
will happen once every 10 years; while thousands of people die and
suffer needlessly due to lousy EMS every week?

next closest stations were 2.5 and 3 miles away - maybe via 60 MPH
roads -

what was the call taking time? what was the que time? what was the
resource allocation decision time? what was the alerting time? what
was the chute time? was Green wave used? what were the EMS and cops
and dpw and ups guys doing? how much fire prevention work is done in
Camas?

how much of a delay happened in reporting the fire because people dont
want to deal with all the government and media agencies?

Keep in mind that there are 2 man engine companies all over California
in the rural areas - probably hundreds of them - all the Amador Plan
engines (winter engines from CalFire) for example - plus many rural
FDs

this notion that an engine MUST have 3 or 4 people is really silly -
where does it come from? - where is the proof that 3 or 4 man engines
are better than 2 man engines?
