And one glaring omission that I left out when assembling tarballs,
binaries, tests and release notes, Ryan May has been hard at work on
the matplotlib event internals, exposing a GUI neutral interface in
support of a new animations API he is working on which I am eagerly
anticipating.  He also provided a lot of help in the bug marathon and
improved the auto date tick locating and formatting.
