Hi everybody,
I've a question about how Maui derives the number of processors
currently utilized. It seems that from our 32 processors only around 22
are active at the same time. All jobs in the queue are 1 processor jobs.
When we run diagnose -n we get the warning
WARNING: node 'node2' has more processors utilized than dedicated (4
> 3)
for more than 1 node (full output below). If we login on that node and
check the currently in-use resources with 'top', only 2 processes are
running, both using 1 processor and around a quarter of the memory capacity.
We already tried to set the NODEAVAILABILITYPOLICY to DEDICATED:PROC and
rebooted Maui, but that does not solve the problem. We also searched for
the warning in this mailinglist, but didn't find an answer so far. Can
somebody help us.
