That error message usually means that one of the sequence files could not be opened; probably the file "ABAchr.fas" which supposedly lives in a folder called ABBdb/Mauve on your desktop. If ABAchr.fas is a real file, and is also in FastA format, I would suggest moving it (and ABBchr.fas) to another location. Perhaps it would be best to create a C:\ABBdb\Mauve folder and put files there in order to rule out any problems with spaces in filenames.
