Hi-
Let me give you a little back ground first...
Once upon a time I had a Mac 4400 with a G3 accelerator board and a
nice chunk of RAM, I first got started with Linux with LinuxPPC 2000
and I truly liked the partitioning utility that started with
XWindows. Later I installed using SUsE 7.1 and was a happy camper.
Today I have been blessed with a G4 (separated into 4 partitions) I
have Mac OSX on one partition and run 9.2 on a separate partition.
What I would like to do is get my old LinuxPPC 2000 CD to run so that
I can take the last partition and set it up for Linux.
I have tried replacing the Finder (with a 9.2 Finder) the System (
system from miBoot 1.0a1 to 1.0d4) and the MacOS ROM in an attempt to
create a CD that will launch from OS 9.2 (the C key held down) or is
there a newer version of LinuxPPC that would work for me that I don't
know about?
I stumble through install so I may need a lot of help, sorry about
that, but I thank you for any help you can give me...
Thanks
