I've been running 10.1.5 on my beige G3 for a while now. I haven't
seen any compelling reasons to go back to Linux, and from running
Jag at work it's only getting better. I have yet to wipe the Linux
partitions, but it's only a matter of time.

I can't see any problems with that. The updates are in .pkg or .dmg
formats, which don't use a resource fork, so it should burn OK from
a PC. Get the "combo" update, which rolls in all the other stuff up
to the point of the update, then you should just be able to run
Software Update over the dialup to get the other necessities.

> Anyone heard rumors of 10.2.4 or 10.3 coming out soon?

First I've heard about it. Think Secret has a rumor about speed-
bumped iMacs coming out next week.

YDL is nearly as easy to keep updated as Debian. Not surprising,
since YDL uses apt too. :-)
