My broadband test results under 10.2.3 (and back to 10.1) are always at
the ATTBI cap of 1.5 Mbps. Results are consistent across test sites. I
have had broadband optimizer in my startup items for over a year --
perhaps it really makes a difference.

As for Jim's problems with ethernet to router to dialup, I have no
solutions to offer. I don't recall reading of a similar setup and what
might be needed to make it work. But, I would assume the answer is
tweaking the network settings like broadband optimizer does for you,
behind the scenes.
