I have a rev A BW 400Mhz. This means I cannot install linux/os X without problems.
I'm using a B&W 350 MHz and a G4 400 MHz ("Yikes")...
(The "Yikes" is the first generation G4, and uses the same motherboard.)
I have OS X 10.3.5 running on both,
I have the original 6 GB drive in the B&W, and a 205 GB drive in the "Yikes" (but because I'm using the built-in IDE) it shows up as a 128 GB drive...
I need an Ultra-IDE card to see the entire drive... These are around $15 in the PC world, and $100 in the macintosh world... This site lists one for $85 <http://www.mars-tech.com/aec-6885s.htm>
I also have a pair of Adaptec 2930 SCSI cards - original from Apple.
When delivered, the machines would not boot from SCSI, but one of the updates took care of that... I can now boot from one of the 45 GB external SCSI drives...
