Also, is your friend logged in as 'Eric' or 'eric'? Case counts. Remember
that it's their "short" login name, but I assume you already know that.

i wasn't using rendezvous. my computer's name is ryancomp. Eric is using Windows XP. He SSH'ed into my computer using a program called puTTY. I then typed in "ytalk eric" (without parentheses). I got the message "[EMAIL PROTECTED] is not logged in"
