Thanks for the link. Already d/l'ed a couple of
guides....

"Running Linux" by O'Reilly
-------
Yeah, I was beginning to get the impression that
O'Reilly Press would be a good source of info.
-------
Just dig in and do an install. Otherwise, google your
way to enlightenment.
-------
Roger that to the first; I'm sure to wind up doing
plenty of the second....but there's no substitute for
printed matter for expanding one's knowledge in those
(rare) moments when not ensconced in front of the
'puter screen.
-------
IMHO yellowdog on PCI architechture PPC mac is easiest
mac install;
-------
Just about to burn the ISO's for YDL 3.0....nice to
have that guess confirmed. Will a 7200/90 with 128+
MB RAM run it adequately?
-------
however, I'm a Debian fanatic.
-------
Really like their apparent dedication to keeping it
open-source and "pure"....so I also have the "Woody"
ISO's ready to burn. Thought I might try the easier
YDL install for starters, though.

Always nice to hear of someone else with a love for
the vintage hardware. :)
-------
Yeah, find it hard to part with any of my old
friends....
-------
For 68k, I'd try to steer you to NetBSD. It is
smaller, which means
less disk and installation time required. Other than
that it's mostly
personal preference.
-------
But I'd still have to find all the apps to go with it,
right? Think I'll just start with one of the more
"complete" distros....prolly Debian's m68k.
