Hi,
I am currently trying to install MaxDB 7.5.00 and webtools 7.5.00 on my Linux
system and am experiencing Problems with the webtools (wahttp, Segmentation
Fault).
My System is SuSE Professional (32bit) with "linux-2.6.4-52-smp", Intel
P4C-2.8Ghz, 1GB RAM.
I downloaded the following packages from the mysql.org:
maxdb-all-linux-32bit-i386-7_5_00_14.tgz
maxdb-webtools-linux-32bit-i386-7_5_00_14.tgz
Then I followed the installation instructions and installed the packages with
"SDBINST". The database itself installed without any problems. I created an
instance with "dbmcli" and started the database with "x_server".
Next I installed the webtools, also with the included "SDBINST". After setting
the LD_LIBRARY_PATH, I tried to start it with "wahttp". This leads to the
following output:
hostname:/opt/sdb/programs/web/pgm # ./wahttp
-f /usr/spool/sql/ini/WebAgent75.ini
Using (logfile:/var/log/sapdb/wa/httperr.log, tracelevel:0)
PID[14812]
Port[9999]
12821 TASKING Thread 14812 starting
Segmentation fault
Next I tried to examine the logfiles. It seems that wahttp successfully parses
the .ini-file but gets problems then. The errorlog (httperr.log) contains the
following:

Well, I am stuck right now, I don't know where the problem comes from. It
seems that I'm not the only one, as I read another posting from the beginning
of june where someone had the same problem with the combination SuSE
9.1+MaxDB7.5.00 but did not post a solution.
Do you have any clue how to solve this problem?
Best Regards,
Hermann
