Hello, all. I had a malfunction on my workstation (XP Pro), and the some of my DBMGUI registry entries were corrupted. Now, I can't run the program, can't uninstall, and can't reinstall/repair.
If I try to run DBMGUI, I get the message: Run-time error '429': ActiveX component can't create object. If I try to reinstall the program, it says it wants to "update" from version 7.5.0.0 to version 7.6.00.12. If I allow it to proceed, nothing much happens. I can't uninstall, because the "update" removed the uninstall information from the registry. I need this application to work, and I really don't want to reload the entire OS to make it work. Can anyone tell me how to convince the installer not to try to "update" but to completely reinstall?
