As I pointed out on the devel mailing list, I think that the docs for Maypole have some serious architectural problems that mitigate against them being updated consistently. I have some thoughts on this, and hope to have produced something useful soon. One of the problems is the diversity of locations for the docs, but there are others.

I'm not a fan. We've already got module pod, separate
documentation-only modules, the wiki, and 2 mail lists. We don't need
yet another rapidly out of date source of misinformation ;-/

AnnoCPAN has proven to be a great tool for Catalyst documentation, because it makes it so easy for people to contribute, and we regularly merge in annotations. You should welcome every little helper that saves you work, especially considered that the Maypole docs have not seen improvements since last year...
