I was just suggesting that it may be helpful information to note that in at least the current versions of REAL that the event loop in REAL Windows eliminates the possibility for very low latency, you can't get below 15ms according to Yu. We had to pester REAL for that info. >>I'm just passing through MIDI, so the absolute minimum latency is critical. >>The REAL Timer I am using is set to 1, the fastest possible. >0 would be faster. Really? REAL's docs say: "Periods of less than or equal to zero default to a value of 1 millisecond." So isn't 0 and 1 equivalent for a Timer period? (Actually, my common sense would tell me 0 would turn a timer off. Oh well.) >>What is so special about Latency=0 as opposed to Latency=1 that it would make >>Live choke? OK, thanks. I've got a request in to Ableton.
