I did not… I will experiment with that thank you. I know this isn’t an Apple technology support board ;) But if you have a thought on this let me know. I’m currently creating and mapping a separate shared memory object for each of the video streams in the app to send their images up to the main app. I am opening them far larger than I need to and that doesn’t seem initially to cause a problem. Do you imagine that it makes a difference if I create many shared memory fileMapping objects or should I create just one very large one and map each stream into it? > > it could of course be that the underlaying OS function doesn't support it. I am learning all sorts of things about “underlaying OS functions” lately and what they do and do not support :) I might break down and ask you all the coreimage underlying implementation questions I have and why my image processing is creeping up to 100% of a CPU core over time even though memory and other things remain equal ;) But I’m going to try some further experiments and re-read apple’s docs again to see if I can catch what I’m doing wrong.
