Hi Sergio,
I coded such a utility in order to remote control a LaserDisk player,
through a serial connection and (of course), a USB/Serial adapter.
This App runs on Mac and works very well.
Would you like me to send the project to you off line?
I believe all "serial" code could be of interest for you.
Note that strings and comments are in French. I could help you
understand how it works, if needed.
