The problem lies in the fact that you don't actually have a Microdot
keyfile.
What you have is a special Netconnect keyfile, and a special version of
Microdot, doctored by Active Tech. to work with your keyfile. So obviously
downloading an updated version from vapor will result in Microdot not
finding a valid key. Only downloads from the active website will work with
your keyfile.

You could buy the latest Vapor version of Microdot. That would work
because you would then have a proper microdot keyfile.
