Well I used MailImport.mdrx, designed for importing mail from YAM, but
it was very difficult to get all the mail I wanted because of the way
MDII stores its mail in cache form with meaningless names. I suppose
you could used it to import the entire directory, but it puts all the
mail in the private file, and you will then have to move it where you
want it, and there is no guarantee against overwrite, because names in
the cache could be the same. It would be safest to keep it in its
seperate directory, which I think you could import into MDII, simply by
drag and drop. Then you might have to create a directory to see it,
but I don't know how that works with MDII, or updating the indexes
might get it recognized. My efforts of merging two sets of MDII mail
from two copies I was running was basically successful, but I know I
lost some mail. I had to go straight to the cache and check each box
for mail. Very tedious, and there must be a better way.
Regards
