A straight directory copy of the Programs/MicroDotII/Data file risks
losing data as MD1.4 will no doubt have already used some of the file
names allocated in MD1.3

It may seem a little clumsy, and also depends on how large a
collection of MD1.3 e-mails you want to port across, but you could
load MD1.3, forward all the mail you need to yourself then go
into MD1.4 and download them all from your mailbox. With the correct
subject included you would be able to direct them to the relevant
folder as they arrive. One drawback is you would, of course, be
replacing the sender's address with your own.

Good luck!
