Just when I thought it was safe to put the schematics away ...
On http://www.minidisc.org/je520_service/47.html it shows that the
optical and coax digital interfaces combine to a single lead very near
the outer edge of the MD's entire circuit. From here the entire
recording path is digital, with no memory of whether it came from from
coax or optical inputs.
How, on playback, would the analog circuitry be effected by whether
the recording source was coax or optical?
