I have a few MP3's that are at 22kHz or 24kHz. (Spoken word/comedy
albums)

I was copying them via analog connection to minidisc. If I set the
record level so it is peaking at -2dB (As I normally do) there appeared
a weird artifact, like it was clipping or something (Crackling). If I
dropped the Analog inputlevel and incresed the volume to about the same
level it was gone. The thing is, the meter wasnt lighting over or
anything.

This was with the deck in monitor mode (AD - DA) using the headphone out
on the MD and headphones.

Has anyone else experianced this? I think it may be a result of my
soundcards crapness. I havent tried resampling to 44.1 or 48 and doing
it again. (Poss the output filter on the crap card is... well crap)
