i was faced with the same question a month or two back... i ended up going
with the r37... the 55 looked too flimsy / easily broken, and i didn't
really go for the buttons on the top... i've had a great experience with the
37, and would definitely recommend it... fairly rugged at that...
come to think of it, the mdcp says that it (r37) comes with lithium ion
rechargeables... i got nicads in the box... i lost the manual (don't know
what the hell i did with that thing,,), but there's nothing that says nicad
on the box... anyone know if it will work with any other kinds of
rechargeables? food for thought i suppose,,
