Exactly. They were relatively prolific, generating at least 10 US releases
on CD through Capitol, so I guess that Capitol never deemed Kraftwerk,
Kraftwerk 2, and Ralf and Florian (as well as the even older material from
Tone Float) capable of generating sufficient revenue.

On the pop charts, yes. However, Kraftwerk laid the groundwork for most/all
modern techno music, and is very popular in Europe, as well as in the
electronic music scene in the US.
