I have purchased from Cassette House in the past (DATs, not MDs). The thing that
Mr. Munson (sp) did not mention is what the shipping charge is.
If you buy even 20 blanks and the shipping charge is $5 or more, suddenly the
price is not so hot. But again as far as reliability goes, they ship fast and
you should have to thing twice about ordering from them.
The DATs that I bought were Data DATs. I didn't know it at the time but
professional recording studios do no use so called audio DATs. Data DATs are the
only ones that are certified to be 100% error free.
I got a great price. But they were single pass tapes. Which means that they
were used one then bulk erased. A couple of them just did not work properly
(couldn't get the old data off). I didn't try because I had enough (this was a
one shot project for my daughter. Normally I am 100% an MD man). But I'm sure
that they would have made good on the bad ones.
Just giving my personal experience with this company so that people on the list
will know that there is at least one very satisfied customer of theirs here.
