Have you considered the potential for something as small as memory stick for
everyday use.
With no moving parts in a player, the battery life could be extremely long, and
the medium would be so portable & format free - store video, text & audio on the
same stick.

Sony is committed to MPEG in video, so why not an MP3 based format for the
memory stick audio?

Other manufacturers are adopting the MD, so why would they refuse another open
standard such as the memory stick?
