the term balanced has nothing to do with stereo.  Balanced has to 
do with the sheilding on the cable to the mic.  Get a balanded to 
unbalanced transformer (in the miniplug configuration that you 
want) and use that. that will give you the best possible sound 
quality. you will not get stereo because your mic is not a stereo 
mic.
