I don't know if this has been posted before (didn't get
any posts for a couple of days), but this article on
the c't newsticker talks about a new camcorder from
Sony recording on Minidisc 2 media. These are supposed
to be the same size as current MD, but have a capacity
of 650 MB due to a different laser:
