- From my newest Oxford Canadian:

v. 1 tr.  put together in a makeshift or dishonest way; fake (fudged
the budget figures). 2 tr.  deal with vaguely or inadequately, usu.
deliberately, so as to mislead or avoid making a definite choice. 3
intr.  practise such methods (fudged on the issue of pay raises).

*But* I certainly agree on the point of spelling and grammar. What a
disaster.
