I purchased both of my 831's at minidisco.com
. And **ALL** 831's are made
in Japan as far as I know. If your 831 closes completely on both sides,
then I would say you're in the minority from what I've heard. Myself, Rob
(www.mdreviews.com), and a couple of other folks on the minidiscussion.com
boards seem to have the same story with our 831's, and I'm sure there are
others as well. Maybe Sharp has addressed this from their initial
manufacturing runs?
