Subject: MD: CDROM to MDS-PC2 (pre-roll)

But all you are doing is complaining about cheap implementations of SPDIF on
CD-ROM drives. A *good* CD-ROM drive has a stable SPDIF output all the time
there is power to the drive, so you don't get any glitches at all. Don't
forget that the digital output on the CD-ROM is intended for use with sound
cards and not intended to be fed through cheap circuits for linking to MD,
so there is no real case for your complaint. You are using the CDROM in a
way in which it is not intended to operate, so it's hardly surprising you
get glitches.
