Hmm,
I don't know... The IR interface is sort of 'standard'. I mean, the remote
control
code of manufacturers haven't changed a lot. The SLink/A-Control interface found
on
Sony home-decks is Sony's 'standard' sollution for connecting it to a PC.
These 'sollutions' are somehow standard.

I'm not sure... Not all of the portable's functions are 'remote-controllable'.
Note also that some of the manufacturers like to change the protocol for the
remote from model to model. Giving a wide range of different types of remotes!
