I managed to get the remote replaced without any hassle (thanks Richer
Sounds!!)
So far I am very pleased with the 831, but I certainly wouldnt be pleased
had I paid full price for it. For me, it certainly beats the Sony's in the
price range. The biggest downer for me though, is the inability to
insert/edit track names etc while playing.  However, the long recharger
battery life is a big plus!
