I Can Not Tell You wrote a few words about "MD: Semi OT: new SBlaster Audigy series
and ML CDRW drives":

ICNTY> Just thought I'd say that I have posted this long time ago. I am talking
ICNTY> about the Audigy cards.
ICNTY> http://md-l.amulation.com/archive/200103/frm00142.html

All right, but this time the announcement from Creative has been
official, prices are known and they'll begin selling shortly.

ICNTY> And as for MultiLevel MDs...why dont the existing equipment just use MD2
ICNTY> Discs or just use...something called Blue laser...I am not well knowledge
ICNTY> about it but I do know that it yields higher capacity.

The advantage of this technology is that it doesn't need anything new,
lasers nor anything else, only the additional chip.
Blue laser ATM is much more expensive, and AFAIK it is not that easy
to implement efficiently in mass produced products. If not, why hasn't
CDs based on blue laser been released, whereas Plextor will ship a ML
drive for year's end?

ICNTY> P.S. That was a lame reply but I hadn't posted anything in the longest time.
ICNTY> :P

:)

My only caveat is that you should quote the original message, and not
just leave the whole text.
