Are the gaps complete gaps as it stops then starts back up, or does it
start up a few seconds after the position it stopped. If it stops and
stars in the same spot. If you send me the file either via high quality
MP3 or Monkey's Audio, I can attempt to edit it out

Subject: MD: Live Recording Problems

I recently did, in my opinion, an excellent recording of a concert in
Detroit (Spiritualized at the Majestic). Equipment used stated below.

Equipment attempted to use for the transfer (all show same 'pause que'
problem):

Sony MZ-R90 (analogue)
Sharp MD-MT15 (analogue) (used to record the show)
Sony MDS-JE630 Deck (digital out)

The problem is when I go to transfer the recording to my computer for
editing. What happens is, the player occasionally, maybe 3- 10 times per
disc, will just stop. It looks to be having a hard time reading the
disc. It
will just pause, and won't move until I hit fast forward for a few
seconds,
or sometimes it will move after about 30 seconds of silence. This leaves
big
gaps in my recording, which are very difficult to smoothly edit out.
Anyone
know what the trouble is? This is the second concert that this has
happened
to, the first I recorded with the MZ-R90. Could it be a dirty lens? I
used
brand new discs. I would really like to get this transferred to my
computer,
as it was an awesome show. Any help is appreciated. Thanks,

Nathan White
