The W3C, which coordinates the technical standards of the web, is adding hooks
into HTML to support DRM ("Digital rights management"), in order the better to
support the whims of involved content services that require platform
agnosticism, openness. And DRM. Netflix, Google and Microsoft. They want all
the benefits and none of the setbacks, because they're in bed with Hollywood,
and because they're powerful members of the W3C, who would like nothing better
than to ratify a nightmare of content protection in an open platform.

We don't want the Hollyweb, we want the World Wide Web. Sign the petition. :-)

(Well, unless you want the web to be a glib place for corny tripe, of course.
In that case, don't sign the petition.)

Cheers,
Sabahattin
