After a weather related scrub on Wednesday and a ground equipment
problem on Thursday, another attempt will be on Friday Morning (9-25)
to launch the STSS Demo for the U.S. Missile Defense Agency on a Delta
II rocket from SLC-17B, Cape Canaveral, Florida.

Launch is scheduled for 8 a.m. EDT.

SV 1 separation occurs approximately 47 minutes after liftoff and SV 2
separation occurs approximately 55 minutes after liftoff.

STSS Demo (Space Tracking and Surveillance System) is a $1.5 billion
project for the U.S. Missile Defense Agency to test the beginning to end
of missiles from launch to re-entry.
The The STSS Demo consists of two spacecraft (SV1 & SV2), weighing
nearly 5,000 pounds at launch and both having pairs of solar wings. They
are equipped with infrared and visible sensors to spot missile launches,
track the vehicles through space and observe the entry back into the
atmosphere from two vantage points in low-Earth orbit.

*** This Launch will have a on board rocket cam.
