New question #148563 on Medibuntu:
https://answers.launchpad.net/medibuntu/+question/148563

Hi :)

I just installed Ubuntu 10.10 and ran through the Community Documentation page
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Medibuntu

At the bottom it asks to wget
w32codecs_20071007-0medibuntu2.1_i386.deb
and then install that using dpkg. However when i had a look at the page that
the wget command sent me to
http://packages.medibuntu.org/pool/non-free/w/w32codecs/
it looked as though there were several newer versions such as
w32codecs_20110131-0.1medibuntu1_i386.deb

Does the Community Documentation need updating? Do i have the latest w32codecs
now that i have followed the advice on the page? Is dpkg the best option for
installing or would apt-get or Synaptic Package Manager be better to ensure
updates happen?
Please let me know
Many regards from
Tom :)
