New question #148563 on Medibuntu: https://answers.launchpad.net/medibuntu/+question/148563
Hi :) I just installed Ubuntu 10.10 and ran through the Community Documentation page https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Medibuntu At the bottom it asks to wget w32codecs_20071007-0medibuntu2.1_i386.deb and then install that using dpkg. However when i had a look at the page that the wget command sent me to http://packages.medibuntu.org/pool/non-free/w/w32codecs/ it looked as though there were several newer versions such as w32codecs_20110131-0.1medibuntu1_i386.deb Does the Community Documentation need updating? Do i have the latest w32codecs now that i have followed the advice on the page? Is dpkg the best option for installing or would apt-get or Synaptic Package Manager be better to ensure updates happen? Please let me know Many regards from Tom :) -- You received this question notification because you are a member of Medibuntu Packaging Team, which is an answer contact for Medibuntu. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~medibuntu-maintainers Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~medibuntu-maintainers More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
